About Us

David’s Tent Christian Fellowship (also, David’s Tent) is a New Testament Christian congregation founded on the principles of the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation. We believe that Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah) lived a perfect life according to the Law of God (Torah), He died to pay for the sins of all mankind, and He resurrected after being buried for three days and three nights. He gave His disciples instructions from the Father in Heaven and set the example for all those who would believe in Him.

In the Book of Acts, we learn how the disciples followed Jesus’ instructions and example by the power of the Holy Spirit. They preached holiness, repentance from lawlessness, and total surrender to God through Messiah. They prayed for the sick to be healed, the dead to be raised, and demons to be cast out. The early believers in Messiah loved and cared for one another, especially as they were persecuted.

Jesus set the perfect example for those who believe in Him. As such, we teach obedience to the example of Jesus in Torah Observance through the Spirit of God. We observe the Sabbath, Feasts of the LORD, and other commandments of God. We believe and practice the Spirit-led way of life of the early Christians in preaching the gospel and helping one another. We also have Spirit-filled worship services so that people can have their lives changed by the power of the Holy Spirit, which manifests chiefly through prayer, fellowship, prophesy, spiritual gifts, and anointed teaching and preaching of the Scriptures.

As Jews and Gentiles turned from their sins and accepted Jesus as their Messiah, the early disciples realized that they were fulfilling a prophecy from Amos to restore the fallen Tent of David (Acts 15:16-18). In the Old Testament, we learn that King David put up a tent for the ark of the covenant so people could worship in the presence of God. David set up continuous worship before it and it was available for all. Since the time of the first disciples, this Tent has been restored!
